trying to calm down.
ok
so... ok. lets get in a time machine, shall we? go back to 1990. Kendra is 9 years old. Her mom had just given her a People magazine with them on the cover
i once cried, realizing i'd never meet them or talk to them. cried myself to sleep.
awww... sad little Kendra.
Fast forward to tonight... as i mentioned i love twitter.
I saw that Jonathan Knight had tweeted something about Siri, and complaining about "her". Ok, sidenote... it has recently become public that Jonathan is gay. I was heart broken that we'd never get married... because we TOTALLY would if he were straight.
Anyway, i replied to his tweet (not the first time) saying something about how i made my Siri british and loved it.
HE. REPLIED. TO. ME.
Jonathan Knight of New Kids on the Block was talking to ME!
this is better than an autograph. We are having a conversation about real life... our phones. We have the same phones and we are talking about them.
So, i tried to play it cool, just talking business... about phones.
then, at the end i made the mistake of throwing in a "BTW- you were always my favorite".
that killed it. done.
Kristie thinks that he got excited, remembering my fan letter and went back to go find it in his desk drawer to quote it to me. Probably had to call his mom b/c it was at her house or something.
Here is how I am imagining the rest of the night going, after our awesome convo
Jonathan re-reads it 15 times (as much as i have) and calls his brother, jordan.
Jon: Hey... remember our #1 fan Kendra?
Jord: Uh, DUH! Of freakin' COURSE i do! Why?
Jon: get this... SHE IS ON TWITTER! And she tweeted me. I replied and we like had a convo and everything
Jord: STOP IT!
Jon: yeah. Totally just happened. i am printing the conversation and laminating it.
Jord: OMG!
Jon: we should totally call Joe and Donnie and fly to her house for a private concert!
Jord: TOTA... wait... what about Danny?
Jon: Please. She won't miss him
Jord: true. LETS DO IT NOW!!!!
ok, so actually the first half of that conversation DID happen, but change 'jon' to 'me' and 'jord' to 'kristie'.
this might have been the best night of my life.
